Lace & Leather Arcane · Our practices
Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: October 12, 2026
Lace & Leather Arcane (also referred to as “Lace & Leather,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) creates and sells digital textures, fantasy artwork, and related creative assets. This policy describes how information is handled when you visit our website, contact us, place an order, or interact with our business on Pinterest and other connected services.
1. Information we collect
- Contact and inquiry information: your name, email address, messages, and other details you choose to send us, including through commission-request or order-related forms.
- Order details: order identifiers, selected products, quantities, totals, customer name and email when supplied, and order or payment-confirmation status. These details help us fulfill digital orders, respond to questions, and maintain transaction records.
- Website usage information: page interactions and technical information such as browser or device details, referrer, and approximate location derived from an IP address, to the extent provided through hosting or analytics services.
- Browser-saved details: our site may save cart contents, order ID, and checkout contact details on your device using local storage to help maintain a checkout session.
- Social-platform information: when you interact with our social profiles, those platforms may provide us with account interactions or aggregated performance statistics.
We do not ask you to enter payment-card numbers directly on this website. Payment processing takes place through the third-party payment service you choose.
2. How we use information
We use relevant information to answer inquiries; manage commissions; record, verify, and deliver purchases; provide customer support; detect misuse; understand how our website and products perform; improve our storefront; and create, manage, or measure our own marketing content. We may also retain records to meet accounting, tax, security, and other legal obligations.
We do not use your order email address for unrelated promotional email simply because you made a purchase. If we introduce optional marketing email subscriptions, we will explain the choice at signup and provide an unsubscribe method.
3. Third-party services
We use service providers to operate the website and business. Depending on how you interact with us, information may be handled by:
- GitHub Pages: hosting and delivering the public website.
- Google services: Google Forms for inquiries or commissions, and Google Apps Script and Sheets for order records and operational workflows.
- PayPal: handling payments you choose to make through PayPal.
- Etsy and Payhip: storefront, purchase, and digital-delivery services when you choose to buy through those platforms.
- Metricool: website measurement and social-content reporting; its tracking technology may collect technical and usage information.
- Pinterest: business-account management, Pins, boards, and relevant reporting when our authorized business integration is enabled.
Each external service processes information under its own privacy practices. Links to other sites, checkout platforms, and forms are governed by those services when you use them. We do not sell customer contact lists to third parties.
4. Cookies, analytics, and local storage
Our checkout uses browser local storage to remember information such as the cart, order ID, and contact details entered for an unfinished order. These values are stored on your device and may persist until you clear site data or the website resets them.
Our website uses Metricool analytics, which may place or read cookies and similar technologies and process usage or device data. Services you open outside this website, such as PayPal, Pinterest, Etsy, Payhip, or Google Forms, may use their own cookies or tracking tools.
You can generally clear local storage and manage or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some storage may interrupt cart and checkout functionality. Where legally required, we will honor applicable consent and privacy-choice requirements.
5. Pinterest business integration
We use or plan to use an owner-authorized connection between our Pinterest business account and Black Stag Marketing Studio to manage our own creative content and analyze performance. When connected and permitted by Pinterest, the integration may read our business account's profile, boards, Pins, and insights, and may prepare, schedule, or publish Pins under the permissions we grant.
The integration is intended to operate our own business account, not to request access to unrelated people's private Pinterest accounts. Pinterest also independently handles the information you provide when using Pinterest; consult Pinterest's privacy policy for its practices. Permissions can be managed through the connected Pinterest account.
6. How long we keep information and how we protect it
We retain order and business communications for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill transactions, provide support, handle disputes, and comply with applicable recordkeeping duties. Analytics and social-platform information follows the applicable service's retention settings and policies. Browser-stored information remains on your device until it is cleared or reset.
We take reasonable steps to limit unauthorized access to business records and connected-service credentials. No website or online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
7. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have rights to ask about the personal information we hold, request correction or deletion, or object to certain uses. To make a request, email us using the contact information below. We may need to verify your request, and some records may need to be kept for legal or transaction purposes.
You may manage browser storage through your device, choose whether to contact or buy from us, and control settings in the third-party platforms you use. We do not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13.
